Viktor & Rolf
Introduction to Viktor & Rolf: A fashion house founded by 2 fashion students from Netherlands, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren in 1993
The way I learn about fashion brands and labels is kind of sporadical – Most of the time, it started off through a hearsay, a print ad or a website, and then I’d search high and low and read more about it until I reach the point I feel informed and say, “Ok, now I know what this is.”
If you don’t flip fashion magazines and read fashion blogs everyday or work in the industry, it’s almost impossible to know most fashion labels. Unlike stock market, there’s no official publication of newcomers or brands listing (not that I know of.) Well, there is Wikipedia but how I know what to look for?
So, I’m starting a new introductory series “Brand Profile” to document the labels that I’m aware of. I hope it’ll be useful in giving you more ideas on the available menswear brands and fashion companies other than the big players.
I’m going to start with Viktor & Rolf.
